FLORA OF VIETNAM

Fam. Orchidaceae Juss.

Phaius flavus (Blume) Lindl. albino form

N. Vietnam, Hoa Binh prov., Mai Chau distr., Hang Kia municipality,

near Hang Kia village (20º43'39''N, 104º53'43''E). Primary

broad-leaved evergreen wet forest on remnant limestone highly eroded

ridge at elev. 1100-1300 m a.s.l. Terrestrial and lithophyte herb up

to 1.5 m hg on steep rocky shady slope. Leaves yellow spotted. Flowers

white, tepals with greenish tips, lip white with light brownish-pink

margin. Locally common.
