FLORA OF VIETNAM

Fam. Orchidaceae Juss.

Paphiopedilum malipoense var. malipoense

N. Vietnam, Tuyen Quang prov., Na Hang distr., Thanh Tuong municipality, near Ban Bung village (22º16'26''N, 105º25'58''E). Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest near top of highly eroded limestone ridge. Lithophyte herb on shady steep rocky slopes. Flowers of typical coloration. Locally common. Rare in the area due to strong overcollecting.
