Paphiopedilum malipoense var. jackii (H.S.Hua) Aver.
N. Vietnam, Tuyen Quang prov., Na Hang distr., Thanh Tuong municipality, near Ban Bung village (22º16'26''N, 105º25'58''E). Primary broad-leaved evergreen very dry forest (with Burettiodendron hsienmu as a main dominant) near top of limestone ridge at elev. about 600 m a.s.l. Lithophyte herb on vertical rocky cliffs composed with slaty stratified limestone. Leaves light green with deep green venation and tessellation above, light green sparsely purple-violet finely spotted below. Flowers light yellowish-green, staminode white with small sparse purple marks. Locally common. Rare in the area due to strong overcollecting.
