N. Vietnam, Ha Giang prov., Meo Vac distr., Shung Cha municipality, vicinities of Lo Loi Phin village (N 23°11′ E 105°17′). Coniferous primary mossy forest with domination of Pseudotsuga brevifolia along tops of remnant limestone karst ridge at elev 1200-1250 m a.s.l. Lithophyte on mossy shady cliff of S exposition. Flowers of typical coloration. Locally common.
