FLORA OF VIETNAM Orchidaceae Paphiopedilum dianthum T.Tang et F.T.Wang
N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Bao Lac, municipality Ca Thanh, about 3 km to SW from Yen Lac village (N 22°44′ E 105°50′), about 42 km to NWW from Cao Bang town. Primary open coniferous mossy forest (with Pseudotsuga brevifolia in 1 stratum) along tops of limestone karst remnant ridge at 1400-1450 m alt. Epilite on open mossy rocks of SW exposition. Flower sepal and synsepalum white with greenish stripes at the base, lateral petals and lip olive-green, petals with small deep brown warts and groups of black hairs along margin. Rare.
