Dien Bien Prov., Dien Bien Distr., Na U Municipality, Ca Hau village, around point 21°13′08”N 102°57′14”E. Selectly logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved submontane forest on rocky crystalline marble-like rocky limestone at elevation 950-1000 m a.s.l. Lithophytic rosulate herb on vertical shady limestone cliff of NNE exposition near ridge tops. Leaves mottled with dark green / light silvery light green, dirty purple spotted below. Rarely scattered juvenile samples remained after collecting of mature plants. Common before commercial collecting. Growing in dense clones in 20-40 samples on square approximately 2 x 2 m.
