FLORA OF VIETNAM

Orchidaceae

Luisia thailandica Seidenf.

S. Vietnam, Kontum Prov., Kon Plong Distr., Hieu Municipality, Mang La forest enterprise (14ø39'N, 108ø25'E). Degraded primary and secondary wet evergreen broad-leaved forest (with Dacrydium and Dacrycarpus) along mountain river valley at elev. about 1100-1150 m on sandstone. Epiphyte with erect and pendent shoot up to 1 m lg. Flower tepals dull brownish-red, lip deep brown-violet. Rare.
