Hemipilia discolor Aver. et Averyanova, sp.nov. (Type)
N.Vietnam, Bac Kan Prov., Cho Don Distr., Ban Thi Municipality, village Phia Khao, around point 22º16'58''N, 105º31'20''E at elevation 800-900 m a.s.l. (Lung Chang and Lung Li mountains). Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed and coniferous (with Pinus kwangtungensis) forest on very steep slopes and cliffs along tops of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like stratified limestone. Lithophyte on wet travertine deposits on shady vertical cliff. Flowers: sepals light green, petals light green with deep violet marginal line, lip lemon yellow with light purple-violet apex, spur and column light green. Leaves light green, heavily brown-purple marked. Locally common.
