Esmeralda bella Rchb.f.

Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Sa Pa Distr. Vicinities of Sa Pa town. Mountain forest at elev. about 1500 m a.s.l. Wild collected plants cultivated in private nursery. Flowers odorless. Sepals and petals light yellowish with purple-brown transversal stripes, lip white with purple-brown longitudinal stripea and brown margin, column white. Epiphyte with pendulous ascending shoots 25-40 cm long. Rare.
