N. Tanaka note:Judging from the image of the specimen, the lobation of stigmatic branches issignificantly deeper (the branches are equaling in length the proximal simplestyle portion) than in var. cantoniense.Further, the proportion of anthers in length to the filaments within a flower islarger.
The specimen is annotated by Hiep as D. calcaratum var. rubiflorum,but I have been unsuccessful to trace the name in literature.
