N. Vietnam, prov. Bac Can, distr. Ngan Son, Wind Pass on road Hanoi - Cao Bang (N 22°25′ E 105°55′) at elev. about 700 m. Terrestrial herb with large underground tuber on wet clay-lateritic soil on shales among limestone rocks in open secondary shrubs and short tall grasslands. Flowers not smelled: tepals pale yellowish-green, with pink-brown tint outside, lip pale yellowish-green with numerous purple spots, column and anther greenish-white. Locally abundant.
