ARECACEAE Rhapis Hoa Binh Mai Chau District, Van Mai Municipality, Hwy. 7, 15 km post; on trail to the east between two mountains with Farjon Mountain on left, from village of Van Mai along road at 85 m to locality listed at 420 m. Collection in primary mostly undisturbed lowland, moist broadleaved evergreen forest in shale at very low altitude to karstic limestone with deep fissures.
