N. Viet Nam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Nam Xe Municipality, Nam Xi Tan village. W-facing slope along stream between Nam Xe and Khau Co Pass at near 40 km to Than Uyen. Secondary forest on top of ridge on eroded granite soils (22ø02'31"N, 103ø58'32"E - 22ø02'57"N, 103ø58'35"E) at elev. 700-1113 m. Terrestrial herb on mid-slope at base of trees. Leaves light green with darker green spots, some plantlets at sinus of leaf, outer petals light yellow brown, streaked in red-purple, upright petal yellow-brown, white at base with red-purple spots, rostellum streaked in red-purple, tipped in yellow.
