N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Nguyen Binh, municipality Ca Thanh (N 22°44′ E 105°50′) at about 1000 m elev. Terrestrial herb with inflorescence up to 1.5 m hg in open place on wet clay-lateritic soil on shales in open secondary shrubs and short tall grasslands.
