Paphiopedilum villosum (Lindl.) Stein var. annamense Rolfe.

Gia Lai Prov., Chu Pah Distr., Chu Dang Ya Municipality, village Ha Bau, mt. Chu Nam, to the north of Dang Ri mt. (14ø09'N, 107ø03'E), 950-1000 m a.s.l., granite. Clustered lithophytic orchid. Foot of leaves and bracts with violet dots. Scattered in logged primary closed evergreen seasonal broad-leaved forest (with Lithocarpus sp.sp., Castanopsis sp., Shorea sp., Dipterocarpus sp., Parkia sumatrana, Rhodoleia championi, Schima wallichii, Nephelium sp., Michelia sp., Gironniera subaequalis, Syzygium sp.sp., Canarium sp., etc.) mixed with bamboos in open places.
