Paphiopedilum helenae Aver.

N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Ha Lang, municipality Thanh Nhat (N 22°41′ E 106°40′), about 42 km to E from Cao Bang town. Primary open coniferous and mixed semideciduous forest along tops of remnant limestone ridge at 600 m alt. Epilite herb on shadow vertical cliffs of N exposition. Very rare. Certainly vanish due to logging and drying of habitats.
