N. Vietnam, prov. Quang Ninh, distr. Hon Gai, Halong bay, Dan Go island. Secondary broadleaved evergreen forest on steep limestone slopes and vertical bluffs on elevations 0-100 m above s.l. Lithophyte forb on vertical shady cliffs of N exposition. Leaves fine light-green/whitish tessellated from above; light greenish, fine spotted with violet from below. Flowers fine apple-sweet smelled, sepals, petals and lip dull yellow, with numerous smallest purple marks. Not rare. NTH 2631 12 May 1999 International Botanical Expedition of the U.S.A.
