Ha Giang prov., Quan Ba distr., Bat Dai Son commune, Bat Dai Son Nature Reserve, San Chu village, around point 23º08ʹ55.1ʺN 104º59ʹ45.7ʺE, 1100-1290 m a.s.l., karstic, highly eroded mountains composed of solid marble-like limestone, primary evergreen coniferous humid forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis on rocky mountain tops and ridges. Creeping lithophyte on shady cliff and occasionally epiphyte near the mountain top. Sepals and petals dull pink, lip white with pink apex and yellow center. Common.
