Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Khanh Yen Ha municipality, to the SW of Na Nheo village (in the vicinity of point 21°57′41′'N, 104°13′29′'E). Primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed montane forests (with Fokienia hodginsii) along granite and quartzite ridge at elev. 2000-2100 m a.s.l. Epiphytic herb on high mossy tree (Lithocarpus).
