Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep mountain slopes composed with shale at elevation 1100-1250 m a.s.l. Clustering epiphyte. Very common around the mountain top.

Flowered in cultivation at July-August 2009. Flowers odorless, tepals green, lip dark green with white margin, column white, anther-cap green. All tepals toward the end of anthesis become olive-greenish, yellowish, to dull yellow-orange. Photos.
