Ha Giang prov., Quan Ba distr., Tung Vai commune, Thang village, around point 23º03ʹ13.4ʺN 104º51ʹ48.8ʺE, at elevation 1050-1150 m a.s.l., steep slopes of stream valley composed with eroded stratified highly eroded limestone. Primary evergreen broad-leaved very humid forest. Treelet 4-6 m in shady steep slope. Flowers dull brownish-red. Common. 21 April 2018, L.
