N.Vietnam, Bac Kan Prov., Cho Don Distr., Ban Thi Municipality, Phia Khao village, Lung Li locality 22ш17'30''N 105ш31'16''E. Primary broadleaved evergreen closed wet forest on very steep slopes and cliffs of remnant mountains composed with highly eroded crystalline limestone at middle part of mt slope at elev. 600-700 m a.s.l. Semishrub or herb up to 1.5 m hg on shady wet slope. Fruits black-violet. Locally very common.
