Plant flowered in culture in Nguyen Van Canh Garden in Buon Ma Thuot originated from Dak Nong Province, Dak Song District, Quang Son Commune, Nam Nung Nature Reserve, primary dry evergreen broad-leaved forest on basalt and lava rocks at elevation of about 900 m a.s.l. around the point 12º10’N 107º46’E epiphytic subshrub, not common.
