Pristine primary broadleaved and mixed (with Dacrycarpus imbricatus) evergreen forest along mountain ridge composed with shale at elev. about 1000 m a.s.l. Palm to 2.5 m tall on slopes and along ridge. Very common. Co-domonante of shrub stratum.
