Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr, Can Ty Municipality, about 3 km to NWW of Quan Ba town, around point 23є05’49’’N, 105є00’28’’E at elevation about 1200 m a.s.l. Primary mossy cloudy coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis on tops of high rocky ridge composed with highly eroded marble-like limestone along left side of Mien river. Palm up to 4 m tall with silvery leaves up to 3 m long. Ripe fruits deep blue. Very common along rocky edge of the ridge.
