Lai Chau Province, Muong Te District, Mu Ca Commune. Highly degraded secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest along rocky stream on stratified shale and granite on steep mountain slope at elevation of about 500 m a.s.l. around point 22º24’42’’N 102º24’35’’E. Shrub to 3 m tall in rather open rocky place along river. Flowers yellow. Not common.
