Aspidistra subrotata Y.Wan & C.C.Huang var. sessiliflora Aver.

Gia Lai Province, G’Bang District, Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve, around point 14º30.324´ N 108º29.762´ E. Primary evergreen broad-leaved forest with Dacrycarpus and Dacrydium at elevation about 1200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb with creeping rhizome in shady place. Leaves grassy green, sometime with unclear yellowish spots. Locally very common.

Comment:

var.nov., differs from the type in thick epigeios rhizome, distant paired leaves. and susessile flowers.
