Pinanga sp.

Gia Lai Province, K’Bang District. Primary fractionally logged evergreen broad-leaved forest with Dacrycarpus imbricatus on shale and granite at elevation of about 900 m a.s.l., around point 14º28’N 108º32’E. Miniature, erect, not branching palm to 1.5 m tall on shady slope. Fruits bright red, sweet, juicy, edible. Very rare.
