S. Vietnam, Kontum Prov., Kon Plong Distr., Hieu Municipality, Mang La forest enterprise (14º39'N, 108º25'E). Primary evergreen broad-leaved wet forest on steep mt. slopes on sandstone & gneiss at elev. 1000-1200 m. Shrub 3-4 m hg in wet open place along stream. Flowers

white, sometimes with violet tint. Common.
