broad-leaved evergreen mountain forest with Dacrycarpus and Dacrydium on sandstone slopes at elev. 1100-1200 m. Terrestrial herb up to 1.5 m hg in open place along forest stream. Flowers: petals white with red apex, central tepal white with yellow center. Common.
