Secondary open evergreen broad-leaved forest and secondary woodlands on very steep mountain slopes and cliffs composed predominantly with weathered granite at elev. about 1700-1900 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb on very steep open rocky grassy slope. Flowers violet to nearly white. Common.
