S.Vietnam, Ninh Thuan Prov., Ninh Hai Distr., Vinh Hai Municipality, Da Hang village, around point 11o41'24''N 109o09'54''E at elev. about 400-500 m a.s.l. Open secondary forest and shrubs on dry rocky slopes of low hills composed with granite. Palm-like treelet up to 2 m tall among dry xerophytic shrubs on rocky open slope. Locally common.
