Cycas brachycantha

N. Vietnam, Bac Can prov., Ba Be distr., Ba Be national park (22º24'44''N, 105º38'05''E). Primary dry broad-leaved evergreen forest (with Burettiodendron hsienmu as a main dominant) on very steep slopes of remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 600-800 m a.s.l. Palm-like plant with stem up to 0.5 m hg on ground and rocks on very steep open rocky slope. Very common.
