Xanthocyparis vietnamensis Farjon et T.H.Nguyen

Cao Bang Prov., Thong Nong Distr., Yen Son Municipality, Nhieu Lung village, around point 22°46'07.9"N, 105°53'59.4"E. Primary fractionaly logged coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis along highly eroded rocky limestone ridge at elevation 1150-1250 m a.s.l. Tree 8-10 m tall on very steep cliffy rocky north-faced slope. Very rare, 5 alive trees were only found, many old felled and died trees were observed. Tree was extensively logged in the past for timber sale to Chinese dealers.
