Primary evergreen mixed humid forest on rocky limestone on highly eroded karstic hills composed with gray solid marble-like limestone at elevation 1100-1200 m a.s.l. Tree to 20-25 m tall and to 0.5 m dbh on very steep rocky north faced slopes and on mountain tops. Common. Rape cones light brownish.
