N.Vietnam, Bac Kan Prov., Cho Don Distr., Ban Thi Municipality, Phia Khao village, Lo Da locality 22ø16'01''N 105ø33'07''E. Primary closed evergreen rather dry coniferous forest with Fokienia hodginsii along tops of ridge tops composed with highly eroded crystalline limestone at elev. about 900 m a.s.l. Tree up to 7-10 m hg. Main dominant of the forest.
