N.Vietnam, Ha Tinh Prov., Huong Son Distr., Son Kim Municipality, Rao Bun stream around point 18º23'39''N, 105º15'12''E. Primary coniferous closed forest with Fokienia hodginsii and Dacrydium elatum along ridge rib and on slopes near the ridge tops at elevation 1100-1200 m a.s.l. (Kho Mu mt.). Terrestrial fern on very steep shady slopes. Very common.
