Dien Bien Prov., Muong Nhe Distr., Muong Nhe Natural Reserve, Sin Thau Municipality, A Pa Chai Village around point about N22º22’51’’ E102º14’26”. Old humid secondary evergreen broad-leaved submontane forest of steep mountain slopes composed with sandstone at elevations 700–800 m a.s.l. along small stream. Small tree 4–5 m tall, on shady wet slope. Flowers caulifloric and on apices of branches, very fragrant. Not common.
