Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, old humid secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep mountain slopes composed by granite and shale at elevation of 700-850 m a.s.l. Treelet or shrub 2-3 m tall. Flowers yellow, fruits green. Not common.
