Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, old humid secondary and remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep mountain slopes composed by shale at elevation of about 1000 m a.s.l. Undershrub to about 1.5 m tall on shady slope. Flowers light pink. Not common.
