Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, old humid secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep mountain slopes composed by granite and shale at elevation of 700-850 m a.s.l. Shrub to 2 m tall on shady slope. Flower buds dull pinkish. Not common.
