Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, old humid secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep mountain slopes composed by granite and shale at elevation of 700-850 m a.s.l. Undershrub 2-2.5 m tall on steep slope. Flowers yellow. Not rare.
