Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, humid mossy primary and secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep mountain slopes composed by solid shale at elevation of 1100-1300 m a.s.l. along trail to peak of 1296 m. Terrestrial herb to 1.2 m tall on steep rocky slope near mountain top. Flowers white, median tepal with two red stripes. Not common.
