Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, old humid secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep mountain slopes composed by granite and shale at elevation of 700-850 m a.s.l. Undershrub to 1.2 m tall in open place along road. Flowers buds yellow. Not rare.
