Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, humid mossy primary and secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep mountain slopes composed by solid shale at elevation of 1100-1300 m a.s.l. along trail to peak of 1296 m. Lithophytic and terrestrial herb with pendulous shoots to 0.8 m long on very steep shady rocky slope near mountain top. Locally common.
