Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, old humid secondary and remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep mountain slopes composed by shale at elevation of about 1000 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to about 1 m tall on shady slope. Spathe light green. Inflorescence axis with flowers dark purple, apex light green. Not common.
