Hanoi Capital Region, Ba Vi National Park, old humid secondary and remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep mountain slopes composed by shale at elevation of about 1000 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 0.6 m tall on shady slope. Young fruits bright glossy gree. Locally common.
