The border on Kon Tum and Quang Nam Provinces along the road Da Nang – Dak Gley. Secondary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep slopes composed by silicate shale at elevation of 800–1100 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 2.5 m tall on open wet slope. Floral bracts and flowers white, central tepal yellow with red center. Not common.
