Kon Tum Province, Kon Plong District, Hieu Municipality, remnants of rather dry primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest (with Dacrydium and Dacrycarpus) on steep mountain slopes composed with granite and silicate shale at elevation of about 1200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 2 m tall on steep slope in open place along road. Floral bracts green. Not common.
