Gia Lai Province, Krong Pa District, Ban Bat town area, remnants of dry open semideciduous Dipterocarp forest on granite at elevation of about 200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial caudex palm-like rosette plant with leaves to 1.5 m long on steep rocky hill slope along road. Not common. Single male specimen. Cone oblong ellipsoid about30 cm long, 8-9 cm in diameter, dull brownish.
